the story behind looped

My name is Jett. For two years, almost every day, I rode Sur-Rons in LA with my friends. It wasn't just my transportation, it was my freedom. It was how I built some of the closest friendships I still have today. Riding taught me lessons about life I still carry with me, ones I didn't expect a bike to teach.

At the start of 2025, the Palisades fires took my house. My Sur-Ron burned with it. All the money,  time, and hours I'd put into building it was gone. In one night, the thing that shaped my daily life, my community, my sense of freedom, was gone.

I felt like I needed something new to hold onto and give me a purpose. Something that could keep me connected to that world — the bikes, the culture, the people, but without a bike.

I've always loved streetwear and fashion. My style has shifted over the years, but one thing never changed: my interest in quality. How something feels, how it's made, how it looks when you actually wear it. That's what I noticed was missing in a lot of streetwear made for riders. I noticed brands were chasing the aesthetic and not thinking about how the items actually felt.

So I started Looped.

the first person I told about the idea, my closest friend, laughed at me. He told me the name was stupid, and told me I'd fail. I didn't listen. I knew what I was going to make would be different, even if I couldn't fully explain it yet.

Looped launched on August 15, 2025, my birthday. At the start, I had no idea what I was doing, I just learned as I went, piece by piece, mistake by mistake. My early designs weren't perfect. My vision wasn't fully formed at all, But people believed in my vision and saw the potential. Those people believed in something before there was much to believe in, and it means so much to me, still to this day.

Every drop since has been better than the last. Every piece gets more intention, design and care. We've heard from riders who have fallen in looped, have noticed the spots that usually take the worst impact and get destroyed like the elbows, back, legs - held up, while the fabric did what it needed to do. That wasn't the plan going in. It's just what happens when you refuse to cut corners on material and really care about the product your creating.

That's what Looped is all about. We only put out pieces good enough to wear every day, comfortable enough to ride in, and built with the kind of quality that holds up when it matters.
